A fan of God of War is embodying Kratos in a UFC game.
A dedicated fan of God of War has taken their love for the franchise to new heights by incorporating protagonist Kratos into EA Sports UFC 3. Kratos, known as the Ghost of Sparta, is an immensely popular and iconic video game character, prompting fans to integrate him into various games. It appears that developers have also recognized this demand, as customization features have been introduced to facilitate the creation of Kratos in different games.
EA Sports UFC 3 was initially released in 2018 and received positive reviews. Since then, the franchise has made significant improvements. The latest installment, EA Sports UFC 5, was recently launched in October 2023 and has already been acclaimed as one of the finest titles in the series. For those seeking a realistic MMA simulation, any of the UFC games developed by EA Sports would suffice, particularly if one desires to play as renowned fighters in the sport. This could explain why this fan is still engrossed in a game that is nearly six years old.
A Redditor named LegalTv_Abdallah shared a screenshot of their gameplay on the r/GodofWar subreddit, showcasing their recreation of Kratos using the custom fighter creator in EA Sports UFC 3. The character they created closely resembles the original design of Kratos, with a Latin appearance, the trademark bald head, and red markings. The only elements missing are Kratos’ pale white skin, which earned him the Ghost of Sparta nickname, and the exaggerated muscular physique that may not be as effective in an MMA fight. Some Redditors have noted the resemblance of this creation to popular fighter Nate Diaz, while others appreciate the effort to include Kratos in the game.
Kratos, the iconic protagonist of the God of War series, has made appearances in various non-God of War games throughout the years. These games include popular titles such as Fortnite, Mortal Kombat (2011), Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, Astro’s Playroom, Shovel Knight, Tearaway Unfolded, Little Big Planet, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, The Simpsons Game, Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, and ModNation Racers. While God of War fans eagerly await news on the future of the series, including the possibility of a half-sequel or a remake of the original trilogy, MMA fans can enjoy the action-packed EA Sports UFC 5 game, which features a roster of both current and classic fighters. With regular updates and free DLC patches, players have plenty of content to keep them engaged until the next installment of the game is released.
