Exclusive Hearthstone content.
Introducing the highly anticipated expansion for Hearthstone, “Wurbelfitz’ Workshop”, set to be released on March 19th.
With this latest expansion, Blizzard has truly outdone itself, bringing forth a collection of 150 cards filled with exclusive content. Prepare to be amazed as you delve into a world of miniature figurines, enchanting tools, and magical devices, all designed to give the inn a vibrant and festive atmosphere in celebration of Hearthstone’s tenth anniversary.
But what can players expect beyond just support? Let’s take a closer look at some of the new cards.
First up, we have Team Spirit, a 2 mana undead minion with 0/3 stats and the ability to stealth on its first turn. In addition, it grants the hero a permanent +2 attack as long as it remains on the battlefield. While Team Spirit may not seem like a standout card, it does possess a hidden taunt factor that can disrupt the opponent’s extra +2 attack on their turn. However, it falls short compared to the Demon Hunter’s arsenal of cards that offer both attack and additional effects such as card draw. If Illidan ever finds himself relying on Team Spirit, it would be a clear indication of the Demon Hunter’s lackluster card pool.
Moving on, we have Balleber, a 4 mana spiked liver minion with 3/3 stats, the life drain keyword, and a battle cry and death rattle effect that deals 3 damage to the opponent with the lowest life. While Balleber may not be a game-changer, it does offer some utility. With a guaranteed 6 damage and 6 life gain for yourself, it can serve as a valuable tool for soft removal. Furthermore, depending on the existence of a Death Rattle or control-based Demon Hunter deck, Balleber could potentially find a place in players’ strategies.
Get ready to immerse yourself in the exclusive content of “Wurbelfitz’ Workshop” and experience the thrill of Hearthstone’s tenth-anniversary celebration.
The following card also possesses a life drain effect: Workshop Accident is a demon spell that costs 4 mana and inflicts 5 damage to a minion while also transferring excess damage to adjacent minions. If played as an outsider card, it acquires the ability to drain life.
This card is quite formidable, as it has the potential to eliminate three of your opponent’s minions and simultaneously grant you nine additional life points. However, it is better suited for decks that prioritize controlled and slow-paced gameplay. This archetype is not typically associated with the Demon Hunter class in Hearthstone.
A particular character class takes center stage
With the latest expansion, Blizzard is reintroducing some familiar mechanics from the past. Among these are the “Spellstones,” which can be gradually enhanced in your hand through specific actions. For the demon hunter, these enhancements come in the form of spell opals. This 2 mana spellstone allows the player to draw a card upon its activation.
If the spell opal is attacked twice or four times while in the player’s hand, the number of cards drawn with the spell stone increases to 2 and then to 3. Consequently, the Spell Opal serves as a useful, albeit unremarkable, card-drawing engine for the Demon Hunter.
The final card showcased here is also the most intriguing: a 1 mana spell named Red Card that renders an opponent’s minion inactive for two turns. This incredibly affordable hard-removal spell can be played without any specific conditions and may serve as the solution to any immediate threats that cannot be dealt with promptly.
An irritating minion with Taunt that hinders the Demon Hunter’s decisive strike? Red card!
A Titan that becomes overwhelmingly powerful if left unchecked? Red card!
There are countless scenarios where this new spell could provide immediate assistance, particularly for a character known for employing deck archetypes that initially stall the opponent before delivering a single, precise blow.
