Although the game does not have an official release date yet, a detailed online listing may have prematurely disclosed one. Discovered by Atlus leaker Midori, the Metaphor: ReFantazio page on the Hong Kong version of the Microsoft Store listed the release date as October 12. While placeholder dates are common in e-commerce, the specificity of this date raises the likelihood of the game launching on that day, especially considering the confirmed fall release window.

Historically, Atlus game release dates leaked through the Hong Kong Microsoft Store have sometimes been off by a day. For instance, the PC and Xbox version of Persona 5 Royal was initially set for an October 20 release but launched on October 21, 2022. While it’s uncertain if this will be the case again, the possibility remains, as an October 12 release for Metaphor: ReFantazio would deviate from the tradition of major Atlus fall releases occurring on Thursdays or Fridays.
